OET SPEAKING TEST

The OET Speaking Test takes about 20 minutes to complete and involves the OET candidate having a consultation with a "patient" (the roleplayer). The consultation is recorded and then the recording is listened to and marked by two other people. There are two role plays in the speaking test with each one lasting about five-and-a-half to six minutes.

When doing the test the applicant will need to ensure:

• Clear pronunciation
• All speaking tasks are done
• Appropriate grammar is used
• You sound confident - and friendly
